Colton's Preschool went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch. I want to say that it was fun but I thought it was kinda lame. It was really busy and Colton and Karleigh wanted to leave. They did have fun running through the hay maze but they were done after about 5 min.
I blame Chad for them not caring about finding a pumpkin because he grew some monster ones in the back yard and they have loved climbing and "riding" them much more. They are so big we are actually not going to carve them this year my sister' in law printed some vinyl jackolantern shapes and the kids can create their own faces. I will get pics of that as soon as we put them together.

Super Saturday
Saturday I went to a Super Saturday with the Releif Society. I wasn't looking that forward to it but it turned out to be a really great time and a lot of fun.
The first one is a Family Tree. The pot is painted with chalkboard paint and so you can label it what ever it is decorated for. The little tags were supposed to be your Family Tree names one on each tag but I got home and the kids wanted to decorate it so we took out scrapbook paper and glued some cute fall and halloween buttons on them they turned out so cute and I wrote happy halloween on it. Then in december I will decorate it with christmas stuff and change the title. The kids think it is great. I love that they are so involved with our decorations. Yes my house may look like a preschool but I love it!
The snowman is made with strips of scrap fabric. I don't think it turned out the best but it was my first attempt and for that I am proud. And it is hanging on the wall.
That is about all we are up to these days. Counting down the months till our little girl joins us. I am really anticipating this little girl. I think about those that have adopted and waited a year or much longer to get there little ones and just don't know how they do it. I can't even wait 9 months and I feel her moving everyday. I have one complaint and that would be that we don't know her name. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Just leave a comment. We love you all!
What!!?!??? Crafts?
I dont' know what has gotten in to me. Must be the pregnancy. I have been just wanting to do crafts all the time. Not usually like me. I have no creative bone in me and all the cute crafts I see friends do I think they are just too much work or I could never get it to look right. I have no idea how to use a sewing machine so all sewing crafts are out of the picture. So first I went to volunteer in Preston's class and the teacher had them taking tissue paper and wetting it on a white cardstock leaf and letting it dry. The color bleeds through and colors the leaf. I thought this is really easy and it would give Karleigh and I something to do while boys are in school. Well my tissue paper and crepe paper wouldn't bleed when wet. I don't know if you need to use a special kind of tissue paper or what so I went to target and bought some more well it wouldn't bleed the color through either. ( little side note if anyone knows why it wouldn't or if their is a special kind please comment what kind. Coco and Kar really wanted to do the water thing) Anyway. We just crinkled and glued the paper on. The kids still had fun.
Craft two: Candy Corn wreath. The kids really liked making these. Kar hung her's on the front door, Coco hung his on his bedroom door and Prest hung his outside on the railing. They turned out really cute.
Fire.... Fire.... Fire.... Station

Future Fireman in training |
Yesterday Coco and his preschool class went to the Firestation on a field trip. It was really neat. They took us on a tour of the station and even let us see the fireman's living quarters. They had Fireman Carson dress in his outfit with mask and oxygen so the kids could see that they may look a little scary with the mask on but it is same Carson underneath and if they are in a fire that this is what they would look like and not to be scared. When they have the air mask on they even sound a little scary but that they should not be scared because Fireman LOVE kids. They had Carson crawl on the ground and call out and the kids could touch him so they could see he was not scary. Coco was scared and wouldn't touch him. I was surprised. It was a great eye opener for the kids and adults alike.
Then they let the kids dress up like a fireman. Coco didn't want to at first but finally he wanted to. He did n't stop talking about this trip all day. He remembered all they taught him. When Preston got home from school he was telling Preston all about if you catch on fire you NEVER RUN!!! It will make the fire bigger. That if you are on fire than you have to stop drop and roll and if you roll into something just roll the other way. He remembered it all.! I was really impressed. That night he said to me "mom if I am a fireman I will work with those fireman huh?" I said yeah you could. He said " I am going to be really strong with big muscles and work with them" So cute!
Karleigh went with us as well and she as well was telling Preston all about it. Really cute! They ended their visit with a fireman hat, pencil and badge. We had a really great time!

Karleigh's Three!!!!
Goalton!!!!
Last night was Colton's last Soccer game for the season!!! He earned the most improved player. He made 2 goals last night and a couple of games ago he made 3. He really enjoyed playing and we loved going and watching him. He was AWESOME!
We got many comments on how determined he was out on the field and how cute he was to watch.
Oh and about the title. Chad started calling him Goalton instead of Colton the week he goaled 3 times. So the name stuck. He thinks it's pretty funny!
