Rings of Fire!

on Sunday we went on a drive up to the Beaver Ponds with the kids. On the way back we were listening to Johnny Cash. And Preston said "turn it up this is my favorite" It was Rings of Fire. Soon all of us were singing along even Karleigh. The cutest part was colton singing "down down down and the flames went higher" I told Chad we really need to video it so you all can hear it. He is such a character. I forgot the camera of course but we had a great time throwing rocks in the pond and picking up Fall Leaves. They are gorgeous this year. Even Karleigh was trying to throw rocks but because of age limitations she couldn't figure out how to let go of the rock. So cute!

I am trying a new Nutritional Cleansing (diet!!! AHHHH do I dare use the cursed word) It is called Isagenix. I will have to let you know how it goes. It will be the hardest thing I have done but I really am desperate to lose this baggage.

Finally Almost done with the house

More fun Pictures

CAUTION! Picture Overload

Does anyone else find it disturbing at times to watch your kids. I look at my kids and wonder where the heck they learned to do some of the things they do. On the flip side of that I think I was just like that as a kid.

My sweet Preston is such a silent observer of life that as for me the loud in your face type person struggles at times to find out what he likes to do. I find myself asking him "Are you having fun, Are you bored? Are you sad, mad, or anything?" He gets so annoyed with me at times. The other day he told me "mom quit asking me things I'm warming up" I realized at that point I need to really try and back off. The other night I was having a girl moment. I say moment because it wasn't really a girls night because I still had Karleigh with me for some of the night then I had the rest of the kids later so to me it was more of a moment. Anyways Chad was with the boys teaching Preston how to drive the four wheeler on his own. The next day Prest was begging me all day to come out so he could show me. Finally after dinner I went out and he drove all over Nana's back yard . You could just see the confidence pouring out of his cute face. He was trying to be so man about it and serious but I could tell that he was feeling like he was "The Man". I just laughed because it is very rarely that I see that kind of Confidence in him. He even knew how to put it in Reverse and all. As his cousin was riding it he didn't know how to back it up so Preston ran over said "don't touch anything I will show you" He was feeling so big.

He started Preschool this year and I was so nervous cause he has been so shy and always hides behind me in most settings. But the first day he was adamant about me staying in the car and he was going to walk in by himself. I kept thinking he was going to freak when he got there. But to my utter shock he went by himself. As the protecting mother I tried get him to let me come in by telling him I had to give the money to his teacher and he was quick to diffuse that tactic and said "I can just give it to her" So needless to say I stayed in the car. And my little boy grew up right before my eyes. He has gone everyday with no problem. I still marvel at that. With that, he is such a different child at home as well. I have had comments about how much older he looks. People ask me if he has grown. I know it is just his personality is really starting to mature. Chad's Aunt commented to me that she was excited to see him go to school and see what he leans towards because she as well has had a hard time figuring him out.

I havn't blogged about him going to school because I was really hoping to get some pictures but I decided I need to just write it down before I forgot.

As for the other two they amaze me daily as well. Just the other day I was at my In-laws and I was up talking to my sister-inlaw and motherinlaw and the next thing I noticed was Karleigh crawling over to us. She climbed up the family room stairs by herself. Unfortunatly we were not watching. And if she sees you watching she will just want you to pick her up so I don't know when I will be able to observe the little monkey. Still I am very proud of her.

Well enough rambeling.

Happy Birthday Karleigh

Karleigh is ONE!!!!!!!
I can't believe how fast time goes. Right when she woke up her brothers ran in her room yelling Happy Birthday she was so excited and started laughing. It was soo cute. They brought her presents in and wanted her to open them, more like they wanted to open them. Colton keeps thinking that the presents are his.
Well we got her a cute little ride on horse that plays music and a little baby the boys picked out. She can take it for a ride. She really liked them both.
Caileigh came down to join the fun. We love our family!!!!!!!
Later in the afternoon we went to the park and had a picnic after picking preston up from school and little Karleigh got stung by a bee. It was so sad. What a first birthday!!! Her first bite!!!!! Her poor hand swelled up.
Tonight we are going to Chuch A Rama for her birthday dinner. Daddy is out of town until Sunday so we are going to have cake and ice cream when he get's back.
We miss you Daddy and wish you were here!

Age

Okay I am 28 now. I sent some pictures to the lady I used to Nanny for. She commented back to me that I still look 18. I had to just laugh. Isnt' funny how time seems to stop as we get older. I was telling her that When I hear that her kids are now 13,12 and 11 that it blows my mind because I still see them as 4,3 and 1.
I fortunatly look as old as my younger sibs. But I know that I am older as soon as I hang out with them longer than a few minutes.

When I am out with my kids people most likely believe they are my siblings or just stare at me like how old could she be.

Age what a funny thing.
