So I have put this off and off and off. Every time Chad and I move we put all this money into fixing it up and then we move. Well this time we were not supposed to stay here for ever so I was not going to fix it up. Well after four years I can't deal with it anymore. I know as soon as I am done fixing it up we will move but oh well it will look good.

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!!!

Last night we celebrated my birthday along with Chad's Sisters and Grandpa's. Chad's Sister Cherie and his Grandpa have the same birthday Aug. 20th mine is the 25th and his sister Charidee is the 30th. He also has a handicapped great aunt that is on the 31st so we celebrated all of our Birthday's together. It was a lot of fun. Chad will be gone on Karleigh's first birthday so :I had him take some pictures of her eating our cake so he wouldn't miss it. It was cute.

Chad's Update

Well thank you all for your support and prayers.

Chad has seen a specialist and was told that he does not have to have surgery and that he needs to have some epidural shots of Dexametheson (steroid) and then have some physical therapy. He should be good as new in a while.

Anyone that is looking into Spinal Decompression we have a researched alot and the Chiropractor used scare tactics on Chad to try to pressure him into the procedure. To find out that you can have the procedure for 2-3 thousand $ instead of 6. So I am glad to have some more opinions. Also we heard that the procedure would have probably helped but having the shots and attending Phy.Therapy he will still recover. Bonus is that insurance pays for it.

I just want everyone to know we are truly grateful for your thoughts and prayers. We love you all. Number one is the Lord and we know we are being watched out for and protected. How cool is that.

Candid moments

So Preston is so funny about his picture being taken. The only time he cooperates is when it is on his time table. Like this morning my sister in law was taking pictures of my neice and Preston jumps in for his turn. Unfortunalty he is still in his pajamas . But is so cute I had to post.

He is getting ready to start Preschool. He is so excited to go to school. We will see if it changes when he realizes I drop him off.

He started Soccer but after the first game he dosent' want to go back. I am to the realization that sports just are not his thing. He is begging me to start up gymnastics so that is what I am going to register for next.

He is definatly his own person. I love him to pieces and wouldn't want him any different.

Spinal Decompression

So things are pouring here. Last Thursday Chad's back went out. He had no idea how. He got out of the shower bent over to dry his feet and thought"Ow that hurt" Stood up, got dressed, all the while his back begins to spasm. He sat on the couch and couldn't get up. I later called and got him in to the Chiro. He crawled on all fours to the car climbed in (barely) then when we got to the dr. He barley made inside. They basically carried him to the exam room. They couldn't believe that it just happened over drying his feet!
Chad was supposed to leave on Monday to Chicago for a Training and so the dr. said he was not sure if he was going to be able to go or not. Sent him with instructions to Ice his back every 20min off 1 hr. and repeat. The next day was worse so they told him to make an appointment for an MRI. I made some phone calls to some back specialists and with no avail they said go to the emergency room and have an MRI. Well I took him back to the Chiro yesterday and they scheduled the MRI for today. He went this morning and he has two bulging discs. One that is ready to rupture. And they other one almost as bad. They told him he has two options Surgery or the new Spinal Decompression procedure.
Pros and Cons.

If he has the surgery the insurance will cover 80% or less. He will have to have his back fused that will limit his mobility. He will be out of work for 8 weeks. And it only has a 40% chance of working long term. His grandpa had the surgery and it didn't work and now is in pain for the rest of his life and taking narcotics forever.

Spinal Decompression on the other hand has a 70% chance of working. Non surgical. It is done over 3months. 30 treatments. But no insurance covers it because it is a new procedure. It is FDA approved and everywhere is booked solid with procedures. I have found no bad stories only sucess stories. Down side $6,000.00 up front. Ouch. But that is all for the whole treatment. Surgery will probably be more expensive and definatly more in the long run if the surgery dosn't work. One other thing is that if you have had the surgery and you are already fused you can't do the decompression.

You probably say no brainer Decompression. WEll you are saying that to someone with no 6,000.00 dollars laying around. And who the Dr. just told you that is was almost certain that the cause was from your job and in a round about way tells you to find a new job. So now what?
