Happy Birthday to my "little" man....

Before you laugh at my make shift cake can you tell what it is?  Colton told me he wanted a dinosaur cake with strawberries as the spikes.  Yeah do you know me?  I don't make cakes.  I am the lady that pays people to make me lame cakes.  I told him that I would order him one for his friend party on Friday.  ( I really didn't want to pay for a cake this time) So as I am cutting up strawberries I thought I will attempt to make a dino shape.  I could tell it was a dino.  And Hooray for me he liked it too.  I got some laughs and jokes made but all in all I thought I did alright by a 6 year old's standards.

Colton turned 6.  I almost can't believe that more than Preston turning 8. But nonetheless he is 6!!! I can't stop it they just keep growing.

We went to Chuck a Rama for dinner.  Many may not like that place but as a mother of 4 kids all picky with their own idea of what is "good" food it is a place that pleases all.  Best of all I don't have to do the dishes.  After dinner we headed home for cake and presents.  Grandma Annie and Grandpa Wynn gave him Spiderman web shooter and mask.  He was soooo excited it was by far his favorite.  He got a lot of fun things.  After cake he got really quiet and his face got red and eyes glassy and he felt tired.  I took his temperature and he had a fever don't know what happened but we ended the party a little early and he went to bed.
The next day was Valentines day and I was so worried he was going to miss out on his first Valentine exchange in kindergarten but he woke up with no fever and feeling great.  So he didn't miss it after all.

Colton is the pure definition of "boy".  He is such a strong little boy!  He loves his dad and anything that has to do with what his dad is doing.
His best friend is Louie Nichols and they are together almost everyday.  Louie's family used to live right next door but they moved last May and we were so sad to see them go.  But it has not stopped them from being together every moment they can.   They have so much fun together.

It is sad how fast they grow up! And I like your dinosaur. I could tell what it was right away. I must have three boys!
